Dr. Oliver is a board certified otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon at Rochester General Hospital. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and directs the allergy portion of his practice. He completed his residency training at Yale University and medical school at the University of Rochester. He received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

While at Yale he conducted research in psychosocial medicine and quality of life issues for head and neck cancer patients. Before setting out on the road to medicine, Dr Oliver worked as a professional trombonist, performing in both classical and commercial settings. He has incorporated his passion for music in caring for the professional voice and was the Director of the Raymond Cole, M.D. Voice Center in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Dr. Oliver lives in Canandaigua with his wife and two children. He plays lead trombone with the Rochester Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra (www.rocjazz.com) and is a member of the Dave Richey Trombone Choir. More recently, he has become involved with Intervol and participates in their annual medical mission to Dangriga, Belize. He enjoys caring for patients of all ages and welcomes the opportunity to serve his community.
